Publisher Hans im Glück recently published a whole series of digital mini-gifts that make playing in Covid-19 times easier, starting with solo rules for Carcassonne and Hadara which adapt the two titles for single players. This was followed by the free Hadara expansion "The Plague Doctors" to print out at home; the eponymous doctors put the population in quarantine and earn extra points. At the same time, the company gave all Carcassonne novices the opportunity to get a taste of the game with a print & play template with simplified rules. Probably the tastiest treat, however, was the most recent one: "Die Landvermesser" is the name of a free add-on for Carcassonne where points are awarded for completing a building that has just been surveyed. It also requires keeping an eye on problem districts and peasant uprisings. Currently only a German-language version is available.

Another free print & play version is the solo game Under Falling Skies which HeidelBÄR Games and Czech Games Edition (CGE) have posted online. Before the designer Tomáš Uhlíř won a BGG competition with his idea in several categories, he had shown the prototype to his publisher CGE, where they are currently working on a realization. On the occasion of the Corona pandemic, they decided to offer the original print & play version as a free download. The necessary rules and cards in normal size or oversize are now available. Although Under Falling Skies is a solo game, HeidelBÄR Games also recommends it for two players cooperatively deciding on the next steps in the fight against the aliens. If you already have the older version, all you need is the new set of rules.
